Mortgage Rates See Small Increase: What It Means for You

Hey there! I wanted to share a quick update on mortgage rates that just came out. The bad news is that rates ended the week slightly higher than Thursday, but here’s the good news: the change is so minimal that most of you probably won’t notice any difference in what you pay.

In fact, despite this tiny bump, rates are still among the lowest we've seen in the past month! If you’re considering buying a home or refinancing, now is still a great time to lock in a rate before any potential shifts.

It's also worth mentioning that the increase in rates followed a report about retail sales that wasn’t as strong as expected. Usually, when we see weaker sales, it might mean lower rates, but the bond market can be a bit unpredictable. So, even when the economic data isn't great, it doesn't always lead to lower rates right away.

If you’re thinking about making a move—whether buying a home or refinancing—give me a call. I’m here to help you navigate these changes and find the best options for your situation!
